WHAT SETS SUNDARA
APART?
01
STRONG ROOTS, SOFT HEART
I was born and raised in Oxfordshire, so at 55 I wanted to come back and give back to where it all began
02
MOVEMENT WITH MEANING
Sadly, I lost my dad last year - and I guess he’s been the quiet driving force behind Sundara. I can feel him watching over me, saying, “You can do this, Sharon.”
03
ROOTED IN POWER
I’ve trained in Intermediate through to Advanced STOTT Reformer Pilates, and the experience has been both challenging and deeply rewarding.
MEET SHARON
At 55, I’m beginning a new chapter - one that feels closer to who I really am and what I want to give.
After moving to Burford 18 months ago, closer to where I grew up in Oxford, and nearer to my parents, brother, and nephews, I felt the pull to create something meaningful for the community I now call home.
I’ve always loved keeping fit - whether it’s in the gym, a fitness class, or out walking with my beautiful dog Marley (a very energetic Vizmaraner who keeps me on my toes). Strength, wellness, and movement have always been part of my life and now I want to share that.
Sundara Reformer is my offering to this community. A space for connection, strength, and self-discovery. A place filled with good energy, where people can switch off from the outside world, challenge themselves, feel strong, and meet like-minded souls. It’s for all people—all bodies—all journeys.
Sadly, I lost my dad last year - and I guess he’s been the quiet driving force behind it all. I can feel him watching over me, saying, “You can do this, Sharon.” This studio is for him, for me, and for all of us who are ready for something more.

I took my time researching the right education path because I knew I wanted to learn this properly. It had to be a comprehensive training program - something respected, recognised, and truly in-depth. That’s exactly what I found with STOTT Reformer Pilates.
STOTT is one of the most well-regarded names in the Pilates world. Developed by Merrithew™️, it’s known globally for its high standards, progressive approach, and industry accreditation. What stood out to me was the depth of knowledge offered - from anatomy and biomechanics to technique and teaching skills. It’s a program built on quality, integrity, and care.
But this journey didn’t start yesterday. I first discovered Reformer Pilates over 15 years ago, back when it wasn’t as well known here in the UK. I was hooked straight away. When I made the decision to train professionally, I threw myself into it completely. Within the first three months, I had already taken over 100 classes. I wanted to live it, feel it, understand it - not just academically, but through practice and presence.
I’ve trained in Intermediate through to Advanced STOTT Reformer Pilates, and the experience has been both challenging and deeply rewarding. I wanted to understand the full system - not just how to teach the moves, but how to teach well.
A year on, after hundreds of hours of training, practice, and teaching, I’m now opening Sundara Reformer - a boutique Reformer studio with just five Reformers. The space is intimate, inviting, and designed for connection.
You’ll find a beautiful energy, a welcoming vibe, and a teaching approach that’s grounded in precision and care. With small class sizes, I’m able to give you the kind of attention, feedback, and personal service that makes all the difference.
Sundara isn’t just about exercise - it’s about transformation, and I can’t wait to welcome you!
